Plans and Billing
Calm Analytics offers two plans. The Free plan gives you a solid analytics dashboard at no cost. The Starter plan unlocks everything for teams and businesses that need more.

The annual plan saves you about 17% compared to paying monthly, putting $38 back in your pocket each year.
How to upgrade#
Open Settings
Click Settings in the sidebar (the gear icon at the bottom).
Click Upgrade to Starter
In the Plan & Billing section, click the Upgrade to Starter button.
Complete checkout
A secure checkout overlay appears, powered by Paddle. Enter your payment details and confirm. You will have immediate access to Starter features as soon as the payment processes.
You can choose monthly or annual billing during checkout.
Managing your subscription#
To update your payment method, switch between monthly and annual billing, or download invoices:
- Go to Settings.
- Click Manage Subscription in the Plan & Billing section.
- This opens the Paddle customer portal, where you can make changes directly.
Paddle handles billing
Paddle is our Merchant of Record. They handle all payment processing, sales tax, VAT, and invoicing. You will receive receipts and invoices directly from Paddle, not from Calm Analytics. If you have a billing question that you cannot resolve in the portal, you can contact Paddle's support through the portal as well.
Cancellation#
You can cancel your Starter subscription at any time from the Paddle customer portal (Settings -> Manage Subscription).
Here is what happens when you cancel:
- You keep full Starter access until the end of your current billing period.
- After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free plan automatically.
- Your data is preserved. Properties, cached analytics, and account settings stay intact. You just lose access to features beyond the Free tier (multiple properties, extended date ranges, and hourly/weekly/monthly granularity).
You can re-subscribe whenever you want, and your data will be waiting for you.
Refund policy#
We offer a 14-day refund policy. If you upgrade and decide Starter is not for you within 14 days, we will refund you in full. See our refund policy for details.
Frequently asked questions#
Do I need a credit card for the Free plan?
No. The Free plan requires no payment information at all. Sign in with Google and start using it immediately.
Can I switch from monthly to annual (or vice versa)?
Yes. Open the Paddle customer portal from Settings -> Manage Subscription and change your billing cycle there. The switch takes effect at the start of your next billing period.
What happens to my extra properties if I downgrade?
Your properties stay connected, but you will only be able to view data from one property at a time on the Free plan. No data is deleted.
